The Sweet Stop Sketch #212

It's finally Saturday and time for another fabulous sketch from The Sweet Stop !  I have to tell you a secret.... Sketch Challenges are my all time favorite.  Here's what I came up with using this week's sketch and a Sweet 'n Sassy clear stamp set called " Nature Silhouettes 2 ".  The set also have a matching die that you can view HERE .  The main panel was sponged with various Memento inks then the silhouette image stamped with Versafine Tuxedo Black ink.  The border die was cut with Spellbinder Inverted Scalloped Circles.  The sentment is from Sweet 'n Sassy's Precious Poppies clear stamp set.  The sentiment is actually on two lines, but I used a Tombow marker to ink the words individually to accommodate my thin panel.  The finished card is 4.25 square which seems to be my favorite size to work with right now. Here's a peek at this week's sketch: Just a few things to keep in mind as you play.... -You do NOT ...

Happy Saturday!  Before I get to this week's challenge I have some really exciting news to share with you.  As some of you already know, Korin has closed the Sweet 'n Sassy digital challenge blog and made the really tough decision to focus on the clear stamp side of her business (which is booming!).  Since I was part of that digi team,  I have been asked to join the Sweet Stop Sugar Babies!  I am so excited to join this talented team of ladies. Without further ado, here is my take on this week's Sweet Stop Sketch using Precious Poppies : Here is this week's sketch: Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!  I hope you'll check the Sweet Stop blog for challenge details and join the fun.  While you are there, be sure to leave a comment for the Sugar Babies.  I know they'll appreciate it!

SNSDC74 - Tic Tac Toe and Great News!

It's Friday and time for another Sweet 'n Sassy digital challenge !   This week we have been asked to chose from the items on the Tic-Tac-Toe game board below. Use 3 items which make either horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines across the board.  It's OK to use more than just 3 but at least 3 have to be in a line.  Please let us know in your description which three you chose. Below is my card using Glitter, Flowers and Buttons: I created my card using " Autumn Collage " from the Sweet 'n Sassy digital shop.  I printed the image on Stampin' Up glossy cardstock then brayered over the image with Kaleidacolor Autumn Leaves ink pad.  The lace flowers were spritzed with Tsukineko Walnut Ink to get a distressed color.   I used this week's Sweet Stop sketch for the card. And lastly, I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I had exciting news to share.  I was a guest designer for Sweet 'n Sassy Digi's last month.  I have ...

The Sweet Stop Sketch 176

This week on the Sweet Stop blog , the ladies have provided a "Spin" with the sketch.  Our challenge is to create a "Welcome Fall" project.  I was recently the lucky winner of Sweet 'n Sassy's " Autumn Bounty " clear stamp set.  What a perfect set to welcome Fall! I took a little different direction with the sketch this week and actually used the left diagonal panel as the card front; exposing the inside.  Below is a photo of the card front: Next is a photo with the card opened: The pumpkin image was colored with Copic Markers then die cut with Spellbinder nestibilities.  This is a standard A2 card size (5.5 x 4.25) and the front of the card was cut diagonally then layered with designer paper.  I added a Prima leaf and a rhinestone sticker that I found at Micheal's yesterday.  I am also submitting this for the Sweet 'n Sassy September Fall Frenzy Virtual Stamp Day over on Splitcoast Stampers.  Giovana challenge...

Sweet n Sassy Challenges

This week's Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge (SNSDC68) is to use the following photo as inspiration for our project: I chose to focus on the color combination from the inspiration photo and used this week's sketch provided by The Sweet Stop challenge (SSS173): I created my Thanksgiving card using the sketch horizontally.  I used the Sweet 'n Sassy digital image " Butterfly and Flower " to create my card below: I used card stock from Stampin' Up:  Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie and Very Vanilla.  The digital image was printed twice and the butterfly was cut out and popped up for dimension.  Cinnamon Stickles was applied to the flower center.  The vanilla panels were dry embossed using Cuttlebug folders.  Machine Stitching was added to the panels and pearl stickers from Memory Box were applied. Thanks for stopping by to take a look!
