Beccy's Place September Challenge: Barnyard Birthdays

I'm joining the September challenge at Beccy's Place with her September digital release Barnyard Birthdays.   I merged two of the barnyard critters with a digital farmyard image from DigiStamps4Joy who is no longer in business. The barnyard scene was colored with Copic Markers.  I sponged the sky and grass with Memento inks.  Designer papers are from Doodlebug Designs Down on the Farm paper pad.  I omitted a sentiment from my scene, but the sentiments in this set are perfect. Sweet November Stamps - Happy Thanksgiving

It's hard to believe that Fall is here in Alaska.  Trees are turning and there is a briskness to the air.  Time to begin my annual Thanksgiving card stock pile for friends and family. I began building my scene with digital kitchen images from Craftin' Desert Divas Stamps.  Sadly, they are no longer in business.  My card focus is on the Sweet November Stamps Wee Pie Baker image and her little pies.  They were colored with Copic Markers. The card size is 6.5 x 4.25 so I kept it simple with a green border and sentiment from Hero Arts. Word Art Wednesday - Sponsor Gina K Designs

We have a new challenge at Word Art Wednesday .  Our sponsor for this challenge is Gina K. Designs .  One lucky winner will receive $25 to shop in the Gina K. store!  What a great prize!  This sweet shop is filled with fun stamps, die cuts, stencils, foil and so much more. My mixed media card features this week's free Scripture digital file II Chronicles 15:7. Karen Murray has provided another lovely Scripture for us this week.  You are not required to use it but we would love for you to download the freebie for your use.  Simply select the image, right click and save as.   I began with a Gelli Print panel with lots of acrylic paint layers.  If you look closely you can see some great texture!  I added a sweet die cut from Spellbinder then splattered white paint on the entire panel.  The Scripture was printed, cut apart then sponged and adhered to the card. All Dressed Up Challenge - #155 Anything Goes

I have been cleaning out my craft room the past few months.  It has been a big job, but also provided inspiration.  I came across several packages of vellum that had been forgotten at the back of a drawer.  So, they've been pulled to the front of the drawer and getting used on projects like this one. This polka-dot design is from the current challenge at All Dressed Up .  My card features the adorable Potted Plants digital stamp.  The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with alcohol markers.   The enamel dots are also from my stash.  I made them a few years ago by melting pony beads in the oven.  You can find my post HERE with instructions.  Scrap papers and gingham ribbon were also pulled out of my stash. Di's Digi Design Challenge - Favorite Colors (2 or 3)

The Fall colors and brisk winds have arrived in my area of the World.  Soon Alaska will see "termination" dust on the mountain tops announcing the soon arrival of winter.  BUT in my craft room I can create with bright colors and summer scenes! I'm sharing this bright summer themed card for Di's current challenge to use favorite colors.  The blue, pink and yellow are so bright and cheerful together!  Summer Kitty Fun is available in Di's new Etsy shop and best of all it's on sale. The image was colored with alcohol markers, fussy cut and layered onto papers from Colorbok and a swirly vellum panel from Stampin' Up!  The fun sentiment is from a business which closed several years ago - From the Heart. House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #423 Anything Goes

I'm joining the current House Mouse Challenge with the Anything Goes theme.  My card features an older House-Mouse Designs (1999) wood mount stamp from Stamp Rosa called Do Re Meow. I stamped the image onto water color paper with Versa Claire ink.  The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with baby oil then die cut. The image was layered onto a partial doily, Spellbinder label die (from my stash) and sheet music paper from American Crafts.  I purposely omitted a sentiment to be used for any occasion.  I would like to share my card with the following: House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #423 Anything Goes PIP Challenge #3436 Anything Goes   Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:  Stamp It Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  4-Legged Friends

Art Impressions Challenge #386 My Favorite Peeps

I'm joining the current challenge at Art Impressions with a fun faux center step card design.  My card features Art Impressions Loads of Fun set.  The set has great coordinating sentiments for the images. I decided to use the faux center step card fold to focus on the main image.  I think the design gives the impression that she is surfing the waves!  Love it! I created the faux step card using this pattern from The Stamp Camp website.     The finished card folds down for mailing in an A2 envelope.  The image was colored with alcohol markers, die cut then layered onto the faux step panel.  Designer papers are from my stash.
