Word Art Wednesday Challenge #579 - 580

Welcome to a new bi-weekly challenge at Word Art Wednesday !  This week our sponsor is Avery Elle. I created a mixed media bookmark this week.  I started with printing the Scripture on a Gelli print.  It was die cut with Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangles.  I layered the Scripture onto Stampin' Up!  Taken with Teal and Peach Parfait card stock.  Floral images from Tim Holtz were stamped onto the Gelli Print.   The completed bookmark was laminated.  Various fibers were added as a tassel to complete the project. I would like to share my card with the following:

Bugaboo Birthday Bash Challenge Week

I am back with two projects for the Bugaboo Birthday Bash Challenge Week celebration.  Be sure to check the Blog for all of the fun challenges, blog hops and prizes. Monday is the Bugaboo ABC Day and our challenge today is Black/ White and a Pop of color!  I decided to make a magnetic fold over bookmark with the recent freebie "Lil Kitty Tree" image. The kitty image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with baby oil.  I have had the sentiment stamp in my stash forever and thought it was perfect with the image.  I started with a 5 1/2 x 2 inch piece of cardstock which was scored and folded at 2 3/4 inches.  A scrap piece of gingham was applied, the sentiment was stamped and applied with a single rhinestone.  Of course, the kitty was fussy cut and applied slightly off the edge of the fold.   I cut two small self sticking  strips of magnet and applied inside the bookmark.  This will hold my place nicely in my book! Sassy Cheryl's Digi Challenge #144

This week's Sassy Cheryl Digi Stamps Challenge is "Dreaming of a White Christmas". I decided to play with my Cricut this afternoon and cut various snowflakes from their Winter Lace cartridge.  I applied Stampin' Up!  Heat & Stick powder to the snowflakes, applied heat with my heat gun until they were sticky, then sprinkled on Stampin' Up! Stampin' Glitter. Below are a couple of photos showing the the snowflakes: The snowflakes were applied to a white embossed panel and die cut with Spellbinder Labels 17 to get the panel in my finished card.  I printed Cheryl's "Simple Snowman Block" digital image and colored it with Copic Markers.  I applied Polar White Flower Soft to the birdhouse and carrot nose.  You can pick up this sweet winter image for .50 right now in Cheryl's Shop . Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look!  This is also my submission for this week's "Show Me" Challenge on Cheryl's " Sh...

Can You Digi It? Challenge 15 - Bird is the Word

This time around our Can You Digi It? Challenge is "Bird is the Word".   Here is the inspiration collage for this challenge: There are tons of fun bird images in the CYDI store.  I decided to use " Henpecked " by LilyPink Designs.  I cut out only the chicken for this card: I used Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake for the base of my card and the Retired Stampin' Up!  Chicken wire background stamp with this fun digi.  The dp is from October Afternoon.  The sentiment is from There She Goes and I added a row of rhinestones from Amuse. Thanks for stopping by to take a look!  I hope you get a chance to check out all of the design team creations and play along.

CPS Anniversary Celebration Day 10

It's Day 10 of the CPS 5th Anniversary Celebration. Lee Murphy is the hostess and she has chosen the following sketch: Here's my take on the sketch: I've used Stampin' Up In Color card stock and designer papers in Island Indigo. The motorcycle is a digital image that I picked on from Cora on her blog: Digital Two for Tuesday . I printed it out and cut it out then popped it up for a little dimension. Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

CPS Anniversary Celebration Day 7

Day 7 of the CPS 5th Anniversary celebration is hosted by Jen Buck. Here is the sketch that Jen chose: Here is my take on the sketch using Penny Black's stamp "Spinning a Yarn": When I saw this sketch I immediately knew that I wanted to use this silly stamp with the chickens sitting in a row with their feet dangling onto the chicken wire panel. I saw this stamp used on Splitcoast Stampers website about a year ago. I ordered it right away for my aunt who had a chicken farm AND knits! How perfect! The image was stamped on Stampin' Up Very Vanilla and colored with Copic Markers. I added baker's twine for the "yarn" and a paper flower with a Stampin' Up! vintage brad center. The designer paper is from a stash of Daisy D's. I used a retired background stamp called "Chicken Wire" from Stampin' Up for the bottom panel. The finished card size is 5.5 x 5.75. Thanks for taking a look!

PDCC25 - Splash of color

It's 'Colour Splash' challenge time again ... inspired by the photo above. 'Colour Splash' is simply black & white with a 'little bit' of colour. And this week's colour is orange I used the Split Negative technique with this card and a butterfly image from Stampin' Up "Wonderful Wings". I combined it with designer papers from Basic Grey's Ambrosia paper pack. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
