Stampin' In Alaska

This week the Art Impressions Challenge is Spring Colors... Bright or Pastels. My card features the fun Art Impressions Pedal Pushers Set The image was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut then popped onto dimension dots.  I hand cut the polka dot sloping hill for their bike ride. I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! I'm popping in with a fun card for this week's Art Impressions Challenge to get girly. I went with one of the Girlfriends sets " Pedal Pushers " for my girly image.   Don't they look like they're having fun? The card fold is called " Bendi fold " and I've been seeing a few around on blog land lately.  I thought this image would be perfect and tried to give the impression of riding  through a field of flowers. Of course, these things always look better in my mind!! The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils. It was fussy cut and adhered with pop dots for dimension. I used two different emboss folders for the grass and ground. The Memory Box Spring border die was used for the flower border. Art Impressions has been around for a long time. I just recently rediscovered them while shopping at my LSS (Stamp Attic) one day last  year and came across one of their adorable, humorous stamp sets.  It's all been "down hill" from there! This week's Art Impressions challenge is Sheer Perfection - using vellum with our Art Impressions project. I have a folder full of vellum and knew right  away that it would work perfectly as the  background for the Pedal Pushers girlfriends! For my project, I used a sheet of blue vellum and dry  embossed it with a Stampin' Up cloud folder.  I cut a separate sloping panel of Amuse gingham card stock for the grassy hill.
