Stampin' In Alaska

My card was inspired by "Green" which is this week's optional challenge prompt at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge . The House Mouse image is an older wood mounted stamp from Stampabilities called Feed and Seed (2005).  I used a stencil and distress ink for the background.  The designer paper was in my stash and the sentiment was computer generated.  A few pearls finish the 5.5 inch square card.   A new bi-weekly challenge has begun at Di's Digi Design Challenge Blog .  The theme is 2 of a Kind - include two of something on your project. My project features Di's adorable Animals Ahoy digital stamp.  The image was colored with alcohol markers then die cut with Spellbinders Classic Rectangles Large and mounted onto black card stock cut with Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Rectangles Large.  TWO die cuts. The image is layered onto TWO designer papers from my stash and I have included TWO enamel dots.  The birthday sentiment is a wood mount stamp from Stampabilities.  I got an opportunity to stop at a Hobby Lobby during our vacation this week.  I loved the font on the stamp and only $2.49!   Are you a thrift store, garage sale, flea market shopper?  I LOVE to find a good treasure.  I was so excited to come across this adorable House Mouse woodblock stamp recently at my local thrift store.  I Give You My Heart (2003) was produced under the Stampabilities brand.  I couldn't wait to ink it up! The image was colored with alcohol markers.  A lightly sponged sky and Wink of Stella highlights on the flowers complete the scene.  I layered the image onto several scrap pieces of designer paper from Echo Park and Pebbles Garden Party paper pads.  Bakers twine and pearls complete the card.
