Stampin' In Alaska

  I'm joining the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with the option of Make it Small.  For my project I started with an image from the House Mouse Designs Spring Mini Clear set and a tag. I began the tag base with my gelli plate and acrylic inks.  I then added a couple of layers with various distress inked stenciling.  The image was stamped directly to the tag with VersaClaire ink and colored with Copics.  The bottom border is washi tape from my stash. I finished the tag with a retired Verve Scripture stamp on white tissue paper.  I trimmed the tissue close to the sentiment and applied it with matte gel.  Fibers from my stash coordinated perfectly for the tassel.   I'm joining the current Mix it Up Challenge at SugarPea Designs.  My card was created with the sketch in mind... although I noticed that it's pretty close with the colors as well! I started by masking and sponging the sun with Tim Holtz distress inks.  The sky was sponged with a scalloped die and distress inks - Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac. The adorable camper/trailer image is from SugarPea's RV There Yet? clear stamp set .  It was colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. The card was finished with a coordinating sentiment, washi tape and sequins. I couldn't resist creating one more card for the current Art Impressions challenge to use Washi Tape.  This was a great way to use my Washi stash! The card started by stamping the adorable pup image from the AI Doggy Kisses set.  It was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  A layered card base with various lengths of washi tape, enamel dots and coordinating sentiment finish the card. This will be going out to my cousin who recently injured her back.  The dog cone is the closest I could get to a back brace which she has been required to wear.  She recently received good news that the healing is going well. I think she would enjoy this little card! I'm joining the current challenge at Art Impressions this week featuring their Lakehouse Tryfolds set. We were asked to use Washi tape.  I'm afraid mine is not very creative, but this is not my embellishment of choice.  I have several rolls of the tape, but have never gotten the hang of how it's used!!  I'm looking forward to all of the inspiration in the AI gallery. I'm stopping in tonight to share a clean and simple design for the current challenge at SugarPea Designs.  I have combined the sketch and colors from the Mix it Up Challenge #46 inspiration. My card features the adorable Quackers set from SugarPea Designs.  It was stamped with my Misti then colored with Copic Markers. The clean design was complemented with Washi tape and enamel dots.
