Simon Says Stamp in celebrating their 14th Birthday this week.  I'm joining a couple of their challenges with an older/retired set from Simon Says Stamp called Birthday Treat. The image was colored with Copic Markers then die cut with a stitched circle from Pink and Main.  It was layered onto various patterned papers from American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Paper Pad.  A coordinating sentiment from the set and enamel dots finish the card.  Enamel dots, Stickles and machine stitched border add texture for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Art Impressions Challenge #149 - Feeling Frosty

Art Impressions is embracing the winter this week with a "Feeling Frosty" challenge. Although we don't have penguins in Alaska, I thought Penguin Pete (Sku G3060) would work perfectly for a frosty card. The stamp was embossed with CTMH Black embossing powder and colored with Copic marker then fussy cut. The snowy background was created using the Country Landscape die from Memory Box.  I tore a couple of strips from white cardstock then applied Stickles to the edge for snowy shimmer and dimension. Finally, I applied a line of glue to the edge of the base panel and sprinkled on Barbara Trombley's Art Glitter Faux Snow. I really like how this frosty card turned out! Art Impressions Challenge #143 - Front and Back

When I saw the newest challenge on the   Art Impressions Challenge Blog I knew I had to play along! The challenge is to use a front and back stamped image on the card.  I recently bought the adorable " To the End Set " at my LSS.  I knew it would be perfect for the challenge AND as a birthday card for my aunt.  Front view Inside view. The shaped card was trimmed and a "roof" applied to a standard A2 card size.  The designer paper is from Simple Stories I {Heart} Summer paper pad. The tail end of the pup was adhered to a wobble spring. The inside sentiment was computer generated. It was so much fun to put this little card together using Unity's " Happiness Is " by Phyllis Harris. The image was stamped onto dictionary paper and colored  with Copic Markers.  I sponged the cloudy background with Memento Summer Sky ink and a scallop circle die cut.  The lace and pink border were machine stitched. Sassy Cheryl, MFT sketch & Simon Says!

I hope you are having a great weekend! We've had a beautiful, sunny day here in Anchorage. We even managed a hike with the pups earlier today! I'm stopping in to share a card that I created for Mother's Day. The sweet image is from Sassy Cheryl. I searched my stash of digis this week and couldn't resist using " Pigtail Gabby " again for this card. This week's Sassy Chery challenge is "Lot's of layers ". The sweet Gabby image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  It was fussy cut and applied with foam  dimension tape.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC and  called " Happy Mother's Day to Everyone ". Here's a close up of the colored image.  So much fun to color!   Except for the freckles, I couldn't help but think that "Gabby" looks like my little niece!  Maybe that's why I've been drawn to this image  so much recently.  LOL! ...

This week's challenge over on the  Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps Challenge blog is " Anything Goes ". I'm taking advantage to get a head start on  my Mother's Day cards. Sassy Cheryl Challenge #198 - Anything Goes

I am back to share another scrapbook layout. While the inspiration  is with me, I'll make the most of it! Today's layout is for this week's Sassy Cheryl " Anything Goes " Challenge and Inspired by Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Ice Inspiration" and Catch the Bug Challenge Blog " Winter Wonderland ". Sorry about the quality of the photo!  I haven't found a really good way to photograph the page except to lay them on the floor which generally causes a glare.  UGH! I recently took advantage Cheryl's sales and bought this adorable snowman for $1.  I knew he would be perfect with my ice sculpture layout. You can find " A Frosty Cup of Cocoa " in Cheryl's online shop. I colored him with Copic Markers and applied a light layer of glitter ink from a Wink of Stella Brush. The hat and scarf were paper pieced. I'm also sharing with the ladies over on the Sassy Ch...
