Woodblock Wednesday Guest Designer

Amy Tsuruta hosts a monthly Anything Goes blog challenge.  The only requirement is that we use woodblock stamps.  I hope you will check out Woodblock Wednesday and join the fun this month! I was the lucky random winner for September and was asked to Guest Design this month.  Of course, I accepted!  While browsing my rather large collection of woodblock stamps I came across this group of ocean themed images from A Muse Artstamps.  The stamps are not dated, but I know they are at least from early 1990s. I figured the Story Tile Template die from Art Impressions would be a perfect way to display all of the images.  The images were colored with Copic markers and adhered with dimension tape.  A few clear drops from Studio Katia were added for extra dimension. I would like to share my card with the following: Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Anything Goes Word Art Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes 776 - 777 Polkadoodles Challenge:  #10 W...

Christmas has arrived at Pajama Crafter Stamps with this festive hanging squirrel.  He is peeking in the window to wish you happy holidays! Allsorts Challenge #860 More Than One Fold

I'm so excited to have been invited to Guest Design for the current challenge at Allsorts .  I have created an easel card for the "More than one Fold" challenge theme.  My card features an adorable Anita Jeram image from Colorado Craft Company. I created an A2 easel card which is so fun and easy to mail.  The front panel folds up to a standing position and is held in place by the coordinating sentiment "If my Dog has taught me anything, it's that the more naps, the better."  So true! The image was colored with alcohol markers and layered onto torn mulberry paper.  The plaid designer paper is Co'ordinations. Art Impressions Challenge - Spread Kindness

Good morning!  I hope everyone is having a crafty week so far. I'm sharing a fun beach scene featuring an older woodblock stamp from Art Impressions .  I love this series of cute penguins that Bonnie released.  The stamp is dated 2006, but her fabulous images are timeless! I began by stamping the penguin couple then masking to stamp the sunset (1997 Coronado Island Stamping) woodblock stamp.  The scene was ink blended with various distress inks.  The lounging couple was colored with Tombow markers.  The scene was die cut using Unity Stamp Company Postage Stamp Nesting Dies. I hope this card brings a smile to the recipient!  After all, isn't that what our crafty hobby is all about?! Watercolor Christmas Peeks Bunny Scene

Welcome!  I'm so glad you took the time to stop by today.  I would love to share this sweet peeking bunny with you from the Pajama Crafter Stamps Christmas Peeks set. Watercolor with Water-Based Markers To begin, the peeking bunny was stamped onto X-Press It card stock.  For this card my go-to water-based marker is Tombow, but you can use any brand you have on hand.  I've used Tombow 856 and N00 blender to watercolor the poinsettia.  The scene was finished with various alcohol markers.  Lightly applied glitter glue adds subtle dimension. CREATIVE TIP :  An acrylic block works great as a "palette" for the water-based marker.  It makes clean up a breeze!  Simply rinse the block off with water in the sink or use a wet wipe. Creative Takeaway The colored image is die cut simply and framed with red glitter cardstock from my stash.  To finish the 4x4 square design a few gems and coordinating sentiment were adhered. House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge - Sparkle

Happy Thursday blogger friends!  Blogger was acting up this morning, but I prevailed! I created a shaker ATC for the current House Mouse & Friends Challenge to add sparkle.  I have recently been experimenting with altered playing cards which was inspired by  @StampyMom5 on Instagram.  For my project I began by using a square die cut to remove the center of the card.  The shaker was created with embellishment packaging from my stash.  Little bits of book paper and Gelli print tissue paper were adhered for the "frame".  A small amount of Ranger Opaque Crackle Texture Paste was applied to the corners. Of course, the main focus of the project is little Mudpie & Muzzy!  This is an older Stampendous cling stamp called Cookie Crumbles (2018).  It was colored with Copic markers, fussy cut and adhered to the card with a distressed leaf die and gold thread. I would like to share my project with the following: House-Mouse & Friends ...

Birthday Peeks Card with Pajama Crafter Stamps

Are you ready for Fall weather?  This cute fox image was included with the August new release Christmas Peeks stamp set.  Today I'm repurposing this set for a Fall Birthday card. Getting Started I began by trimming the Pebble Beach card stock A4 base panel to create my scene.  The front panel has been dry embossed with a leaf folder from my stash then distressed with inks and paint. A glitter tape was applied to the edge.  Plaid designer paper was adhered to the inside of the card. Stamp and Fussy Cut The fox image was stamped onto X-Press It card stock and colored with Copic markers.  It was fussy cut and the greenery trimmed so that the fox could be seen "peeking" around the edge of the card.  I chose to pair the fox with Fall colors and thought it would be adorable as a Happy Birthday card!   Creative Takeaway To finish the card a few enamel dots from my stash and coordinating sentiment were added.  Stretch your stash - take a look ...

Glittery Cheers to the Season

The Holiday Season is upon us at  Pajama Crafter Stamps  with the adorable Cheers to the Season stamp set.  Today I will be sharing a fun layered scene featuring the sweet peeking bear image from the set. Stamping and Coloring I began by stamping the image and coloring with alcohol markers.  I lightly applied glitter glue to the glass to mimic bubbles then along the base of the image for icey snow.  Among my stash I came across a puffy 3D paint that worked perfectly to create fluffy fur on the bear's hat. Creative Takeaway To finish the sparkly scene a few snowflake dies and silver cord from my stash along with the coordinating sentiment were added.  Even the simplest design can be eye-catching!  Pajama Crafter Stamps Products Used: Cheers to the Season Stamp Set Additional Supplies Used: Copic Markers (E57, E35, B95, R17 G94) Silver Cord Snowflake die cuts Detail scissors (for fussy cutting) Village Die Border Glitter Glue If today's project i...
