Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #82

Cheryl hosts a fun challenge each week that she calls "Show Me".  It's so easy to play along!  Just post a photo (or photos) of what is going on in your area of the world.  Each Thursday she randomly selects a post who can win a FREE Sassy Cheryl digital image.  Fun!

I decided to share a couple of photos from my July 4th weekend trip to Fairbanks, Alaska.  We met my in-laws along the way and drove the 6 plus hours from Anchorage to Fairbanks via the Richardson Highway.  Of course, the pups went along and we pulled the trailer so we could camp.

Our first day we all boarded the Riverboat Discovery for a trip down the Chena River.  Below are a couple of photos from the stops along the way.

We also drove about 60 miles out of Fairbanks to Chena Hot Springs.  We enjoyed the hot springs but also took a tour through their ice museum.  It stays 20 degrees inside year round!

We had lots of fun and the scenery was fabulous!  The weather in Fairbanks was sunny and 70 degrees while we were there.  It was nice to get away from rain and 50 degrees in Anchorage!!

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share our weekend trip!

That ice museum looks so cool--wish I was inside it right now! It'd be a such a nice change of pace from our desert heat! :^)
Hugs,
Penny

What an incredible trip. Love the pics of Susan Butcher's kennels. I totally admired her. Love the Ice Museum, but it wouldn't last long here in MS, but I'd be happy while it melted.

Well, I agree. . . .this looks like an incredible trip. Totally funny that they have the Ice Museum in Chena HOT Springs. Kind of ironic. :)
