Mo's Digital Challenge #140 - Masculine

This week on Mo's Challenge Blog, the Design Team has challenged us to use a masculine theme with our Mo Manning image in our projects.  I decided to make a Clean and Simple design with Mo's "Lazy Mutts" image.  This actually comes with three pup images and they are all adorable!

Here's my card:

The pup was colored using Prismacolor pencils, blending stumps and baby oil.  I received a comment recently asking me to explain the combination.  Below is a photo of the products which I used.  Some people call this the "Gamsol Magic" technique.  I found that baby oil gave the same blending effect and was much cheaper and accessible to me.  If you are interested in trying this technique you can check out the tutorial HERE on Splitcoast Stampers.

I have also added a few score lines to the image panel to provide some dimension.

This card also qualifies for the following:
Mark's Finest Papers Challenge to use scorelines.
Tuesday Alchemy - Challenge #20 Furry Companions

Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look!  I appreciate all of your comments.

Cynthia, what a simply adorable card! Love it! The score lines are a great idea to set off your image and sentiment! And I have never heard of using baby oil instead of Gamsol, but what a smart (and safe) idea! :^)

Penny

OMG I have a dog that looks like that most of the day. Cute card. Thanks for joining Speedy Fox and Friends.
Visiting from Speedy Fox & Friends Ch113 Score Lines. LIke the whimsy dog card. My dog Teddy says woof to your dog Bud. I see Bud likes the water. Teddy does not like the water. He fell in our pool twice when he was younger. He dog paddled in a circle and I had to pull him out by the collar to help him out. There's a challenge at Tuesday Alchemy Ch20 Furry Companions you can enter this card in. also.

I love this CAS look, and those score lines add so much to this perfectly designed card. I love these mutts as well, and I've haven't used this particular one yet, but now that I see it, I know I'm going to incorporate it real soon. Thanks for joining us this week at Mo's.

Love it Cynthia

Your card is so sweet Cynthia. I love the image you used. If only I had looked that cute when I got home from running errands with my sister all day and crashing the same way on the floor as that sweet doggie. Thanks so much for joining us at Tuesday Alchemy.

Hugs,

Laine
