SNSDC98 - Think Spring

Happy Friday and welcome to another Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge!

It has been a very busy week for me.  We have also gotten over 20 more inches of snow this week then temperatures fell below zero yesterday!  Wowsers!  What happened to Spring this year?!

Well, on to our challenge for this week.  Regardless of the weather in your area of the country we want you to "Think Spring" this week.  So, print out your Spring themed digital images and get busy!

Here's what I created this week using one of the March digi releases - Magnolia Block:

Magnolia Block $3.00
I kept my design simple to focus on the gorgeous magnolia flower.  The image was printed three times and each layer was colored with the new Wink of Stella glitter brush.  The glitter brush works like a dream!  It provides the perfect amount of glitter and is super easy to control.

The center layer was adhered with dimensional tape and the petal edges curled slightly.  The sentiment is from the Sweet 'n Sassy digi set called Mother's Day Sentiments.  I printed the sentiment on vellum to avoid covering a portion of my flower.

A few things to keep in mind as you join the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge this week:
  • Digital images are required.  You don't have to use SNSS, but we love it when you do and you might get a chance for the Spotlight!
  • Please use keyword SNSDC98 when uploading to online galleries.
  • For every card you enter during the month of March, you will be eligible for 3 free SNSS digis.
Don't forget to stop by the blog and check out the inspiration provided by my team members.  We always love to hear from you!

You have made this beautiful magnolia really pop on this spring card, Cynthia! Your colouring and the coordinating ribbon work so well together - I must try the Wink of Stella glitter brush some time - not sure if I have seen them over here yet, though. Hoping your weather improves soon!
Cynthia this is a stunning card - love the way you have coloured and mounted the magnolia. The sentiment is just right for the card :-)

What a beautiful card! You did a great job with the magnolia. I've never heard of the Wink of Stella glitter brush but will have to check it out. I love adding glitter/sparkle. Your coloring is so pretty and I really like the sentiment on the vellum.

Cynthia - your card is gorgeous! Love the color of your Magnolia. Hopefully you will get out of the snow and find some spring soon. I know our temps are below norm also. We are to hit 48 so we should have some melting of our snow, but then predicted rain the next two days.

Cynthia, this is just gorgeous! Love it! You colored it beautifully! I love the Wink of Stella, too, but so far only used it for accents! :^)
Hugs, Penny
Hope it warms up there soon! We are already too warm here.
