Adventure Awaits Layered Card Design

Adventure Awaits stamp set from Pajama Crafter Sets is great for so many different occasions.  This card will be going to my swashbuckling cousin on his upcoming birthday!  But it could also be used for retirement or even graduation. The Process I began by pulling together coordinating designer paper from my stash then layered with Pajama Crafter Stamps Pebbled Beach Cardstock base.  A couple of nautical dies from my stash were added for dimension. Stamping and Coloring The pirate ship was stamped, and the Tombow blender pen was used with Tombow markers to color the ship and sails.  Ink blended sky and ocean with Salty Ocean distress ink finishes the scene. Finishing Touches The image was adhered with foam tape, and natural jute twine was tied to follow the nautical theme.  Adventure Awaits sentiment completes the design. Clean and Simple Ink Blended Scene Building

Ahoy Matey!  This week I created an ink blended scene inspired by a fun design by Tina Wilstrop .  It was perfect for the coordinating sets from Pajama Crafter Stamps . Ink Blending and Masking I began by masking off half of the base panel to create my scene.  The sky was ink blended with various blue distress inks then the ship image from  Adventure Awaits  was stamped with VersaFine Claire pigment ink.   The fun pirate image from  Kraken Good Day stamp set was stamped, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  To add dimension the image was adhered with foam tape.   Creative Takeaway To finish the clean and simple scene a few gems from my stash and coordinating sentiment were added.  Even the simplest design can be eye-catching!  Pajama Crafter Stamps Products Used: Kraken Good Day  Adventure Awaits Additional Supplies Used: Copic Markers Distress Inks Blending Brush Detail scissors (for fussy cutting) Mask...

Art Impressions Challenge - Boy Oh Boy!

Funny how this group of hunters only see the cake somewhat hidden by the deer - who appears very unafraid!  Seems like something that my family hunters might do.  :) When I saw the current "Boy oh Boy!" challenge theme at Art Impressions I knew that the Ole Buck set would be perfect.  There are so many fun outdoor images and sentiments in this set. I created an ink blended background for the hunter image and used a retired Front-n-Backs fence stamp from AI as a border.  The cake image is from Art Impressions Retired Chocolate Therapy set.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut the deer.  It was adhered with foam tape for dimension. Of course, the card was finished with a fun sentiment from the Ole Buck stamp set. Scene Building with Galaxy Background and Faux Center Step Card Fold

Thank you for stopping by for a closer look at this week's project for Pajama Crafter Stamps ! For today's card we'll be combining ink blending, galaxy background, wobbler action and a Faux Center Step (Stair) Card for a fun outer space scene. Ink Blending  I began by creating the blended galaxy background with green and violet distress inks.  The colors were randomly blended onto my 4.25 x 5.50 card base. A deeper violet distress ink was blended from the edges of the base panel toward the center, followed by black soot distress oxide ink blended from the outer edges of the card base panel inward. Lastly, white acrylic paint thinned with a bit of water was splattered randomly across the panel with a paintbrush, creating the effect of stars. Stamping and Cutting The adorable astronauts, rocket, and asteroid images from the Such an Asteroid stamp set were stamped, colored with Copic markers, and fussy cut. A mini wobbler was attached to the astronaut to create a fun “no ...
