Stampin' In Alaska

A new challenge starts today at Word Art Wednesday .  As always, the challenge welcomes any project as long as it is family friendly.  We are so blessed to have Taylored Expressions as our sponsor this week!  One lucky random winner will receive a great prize.  Taylored Expressions is a family owned business providing stamps, dies, paper and much more.  Be sure to check out their online store HERE . My mixed media tag features the retired Taylored Expressions On the Line Beach Cutting Plate.  I began with a gelli print tag, applied a portion of the die cut in black with the small crab.  This week's Scripture was printed, cut and glued to the tag.  A few paint splatters and black twine finish the tag.   Karen Murray has provided another lovely Scripture for us this week.  You are not required to use it but we would love for you to download the freebie for your use.  Simply select the image, right click and save as.

I'm so honored to have been invited to Guest Design with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps for the month of July.  I have been a customer of Sweet 'n Sassy since their beginning.  Korin Sutherland began Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps , LLC in 2007 as a small, family-owned, Christian company offering their own brand of clear stamps, dies, stencils and digital products to the paper crafting community. The SNSS products are proudly made in the USA and offer many Scripture based stamp sets.  Be on the lookout for a new company name soon - Creative Worship Stamps! Masculine designs are always challenging for me.  But when I saw the Birthday Guy clear stamp set from Creative Worship Stamps I knew it was a must-have!  This set contains four great sentiments - three are specific to the guys. I began by sponging a colorful cloudy sky then stamping the tree and moose image from Creative Worships Forest Silhouettes stamp set .  A couple of bird dies from the Forest Silho...

Beccy's Place is featuring a fun gaming digital set this month called Table Top Games.  I had so much fun coloring and creating with this set! The first card features a medieval warrior image which I colored with Copic Markers then fussy cut.  I came across the coordinating designer paper in my stash from Doodlebug Designs called Dragon Tails. The second card features the bag of dice which I colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  This image was layered onto designer papers from Carta Bella's Family Fun Night paper pack. Be sure to stop by Beccy's Place store to find this set and many others.  Beccy also generously provides many free digital images, tutorials, videos and card fold ideas.   Beccy also offers her designs in clear sets.  You can find a list of retailers on her blog as well.   Happy Monday!  I haven't been able to play along with The Paper Shelter for a few weeks.  Over the weekend I printed off a fun summer image called Tropical Fun .  I love using the pre-colored images for a quick project.  I found the free background through a Google search.  I thought I worked great! The card base is a 5 1/2 x 3 slimline with designer paper from Echo Park.  I finished with a sentiment and stickers from my stash. I started my project with a gelli print tag from my stash.  The Scripture from In the Psalms set was stamped onto tissue paper and applied to the tag with Modge Podge.     A church building image from the Family of God set was stamped and fussy cut with yellow Stickles applied to the windows.  I also lightly stamped the Psalm 23 Background stamp onto the tag before adhering the church building....

It's been a rainy, dreary day here in Anchorage.  In between chores, I've managed to create a couple of cards including this fun rocker card.  I'm playing along with the current color challenge at Penguin Palace . I recently came across Penguin Palace through another challenge blog.  When I checked out the shop I found this adorable digital set called Hang Gliding .  It caught my eye as a unique subject with a bold lined design.  The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock, colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut.  I used my Pink & Main Stitched Circle die for the rocker base.  The image was adhered with foam tape and finished with a sentiment from the set and a few dew drops. I would like to enter my card in the following: Penguin Palace Challenge #39 - Ocean Mood Board Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Let's Get Into Shape!  We Love Stamping:  July Anything Goes Gem of a Craft Challenge:  Week #14 Anything Goes ...
